Comments: This is an unscientific report. I think we have had about an inch of snow. I think I got up about 4am, and the ground was still not-white, but then by 5:15am it was white. When I picked up the newspaper, it had between 1/2 inch and inch of snow on it. There certainly isn't more than an inch on the grass. Parts of the driveway are slushy, but the snow is fairly light now. It's windy. No 8am classes seems to be a good call to get things cleaned up around campus.

Comments: Very heavy, sticky snow. Trees and power lines thoroughly coated. A lot of the earliest precip (between 2:00 am and 4:00 am) fell as plain rain. Temperature remained too high for too long into the night to support a significant snow accumulation.

Storm Total: 2.5 inches

Comments: An addendum to my earlier report: Heavy snow on trees primarily in what the NWS calls the "normally colder valleys" including the area surrounding the York Water resevoirs along Interstate 83. By late afternoon much of the snow had been blown from the branches in the higher elevations, but those "normally colder valleys" still look like they had at sunrise. The charm of microclimates!
