Comments: My Boy Scout troop visited both sides of the Delaware River at Washington's Crossing north of Trenton. We arrived about 10:30am and left about 3:30pm. It snowed and sleeted the whole time we were there. We saw delicate snowflakes as well as graupel. About 3pm, we heard a long (10 second?) rumble of loud thunder. When we were ready to leave, I had to brush off at least 1.5 inches of snow from my car, and it was still snowing heavily. I had a delightful day hiking. .... However, the drive home was stressful. We saw three cars spun backwards at different points along our journey. And I'm keeping the Seton Hill lacrosse players and families in my prayers after the bus crash near Carlisle this morning.
