Comments: Accumulating snow has ended here. It surprised me when I went out to make the final measurement that 9 new inches had fallen since 6:30 pm. That brings the total for the second part of the storm to 11 inches. 3.5 inches fell with the first part. I will post a liquid equivalent for the two batches of snow tomorrow morning.

Comments: From 10:00 PM, onward we accumulated 1.0 inches. Basically fell between 10 pm and midnight. Storm total for January 26th is 16.5 inches!
Note: evening totals were taken to two, flat surfaces. On one the snow was allowed to pile-up. On the second, I occationally cleared the snow to get a summed total with out compacting. If you stick a ruler in the ground, total will only be are 14 inches because of compacting and the rain that fell from noon until 4:45 pm.

Comments: The first batch of snow of 3.5" melted down to 0.30" of liquid giving a ration for the first part of the storm of 11.5:1. The second batch of snow of 11" melted down to 1.02" of liquid giving a liquid equivalent of 11:1 for the second part of the storm. Overall, there was 1.36" of liquid precip. with the storm including the little bit of sleet and freezing rain that we got in the afternoon.
