A weak, chilly surface high pressure system will remain in the region through this afternoon as clouds begin to increase. An upper level low will build in from the Midwest and bring with it another heavy snowfall. Snow will begin in the late afternoon hours today, as a secondary area of low pressure develops over the Atlantic. Heavier snow will begin overnight and into Wednesday with accumulations reaching 10 - 18 inches. Winds can increase to 20-40 mph causing blowing and drifting snow for Wednesday afternoon into Thursday. Sunny and windy conditions will develop for Thursday as an area of high pressure builds in.
