The Millersville University chapter is a full-service local student chapter of the American Meteorological Society. Our mission is the same as the national AMS, to promote the development and dissemination of information and education on the atmospheric and related oceanic and hydrologic sciences and the advancement of their professional applications. Founded in 1919, the American Meteorological Society has a membership of more than 11,000 professionals, professors, students, and weather enthusiasts. The Millersville chapter is comprised of over 100 students, most of whom are majoring in meteorology.
