To better execute the numerous programs, the MU-AMS created committees during the 2006-07 year to oversee some very important and prominent activities. These committees will work autonomously, meeting separately from the main group at separate times. A secretary will be chosen for each committee to take minutes at the meetings and each committee will present their news and information at the main meetings to the whole organization. This is a great way to get involved and become more closely tied to your organization. This is also an excellent way to get involved in the department and a direct route to becoming an officer if desired. The work will also be influential, as it will be used to run the MU-AMS. I hope many of you join these committees and take this exciting hands-on experience of the American Meteorological Society.
More information will be placed on these pages as the semester gets underway, including detailed meeting minutes and important handouts or forms. Archives of last year's meeting minutes are also available on the commitee pages.
